Dear All:

I have been requested to advise you of the following:

I regret to inform you that A. C. “Hap” Poneleit passed away Wednesday, August 11th at approximately 6:30 P.M.; his family was with him as he passed to the other side. 

Tentative Funeral Plans are as follows:

Sunday August 15th        1:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.

Visitation at Toale Brothers Funeral Home Downtown Sarasota

 Monday August 16th

 Funeral Services at a Sarasota Church   

After the Funeral

A Celebration of Life at Hap’s Cycle Sales on 17th Street.

 Food and Drinks will be provided.

    Just about 2 weeks before his passing i was thinking of coming to visit “Hap”. He and my Grandy, the late Arthur Glenn “Mac” McFarland, started the 2nd motorcycle club in Sarasota together.
    They were very close friends.
    My Grandy owned Austin-McFarland Sporting Goods, which was near the corner of Orange & Main. He passed away in an accident, in 1965, after someone hit his motorcycle.
