Ryan Kerr Ready for a New Challenge

June 2nd, 2010 No comments

Johnstown, Ohio…When the AMA Pro SuperSport East event thunders into action June 4-6 at Road America, Ryan Kerr and the Ryan Kerr Race Team will be looking to conquer this prestigious track.

“This will mark my third professional road race event ever,” says Ryan Kerr, whose best finish has been a top ten. “We ran Daytona and Atlanta and are currently in fifth place in the point’s battle. I have never been to Road America. I have heard lots of good things about it. I know it is a fast track and requires good horsepower.  I think we have that licked with our Kawasaki. If I can learn the track quickly then I should be able to put my head down and really go for it.”

Passionate about road racing, Kerr had to make the decision between going to Road America or attending his high school graduation. In his mind there was really no decision…racing won hands down.

“I am happy to graduate,’ he says with a smile. “However, picking up my diploma is no

where near as important to me as racing.”

At the age of five, Kerr began competing in motocross and got his national number at Loretta Lynn’s Motocross Championship finishing fourth in the nation as a seven year old.

Well versed in what it takes to win, Kerr began climbing up the ladder of success earning numerous victories and accolades along the way. At the age of eight he competed AMA National Flat Track earning a national number 3. Next he tackled the AMA Grand National Cross Country Series.  In 2007 and 2008 Kerr competed in the AMA Pro Supermoto Championship and last season he raced selected Supermoto events as well as AMA amateur road racing championships as an expert, finishing in the top ten in both Supersport and Superbike.

“I know that consistency is the way to winning a championship,” he says. “This season is very much a learning curve for me. I have never ridden on most of the tracks, so every race is a brand new challenge, but it is awesome. Our goal is to finish every race and to keep moving up and hopefully this weekend will be a good one.”

Ryan Kerr Racing is sponsored by MJ USA, 614Paintworx, Leo Vince, Arai, Di-Digital Impressions, Woodcraft, KobieC.com, Kawasaki and MJ Motorgear, and Mid-Ohio School.

Crozier Roberson Motorsports Hungry for a Podium Finish

June 2nd, 2010 No comments

Daytona Beach, Fla… There is nothing quite as motivating as hunger, and Crozier Roberson Motorsports’ pilots Bobby Fong, Michael Beck and Joey Pascarella are definitely hungry and determined to put their DNA Energy Drink Ducati’s on the podium at the AMA Superbike Doubleheader at Road America, June 4-6.

“No more bad luck,” says Fong who is currently ranked 10th in AMA Pro Daytona SportBike. Last year at Road America, I qualified third. Unfortunately the rain put a damper on my weekend, but not this time. They are forecasting possible thunderstorms, but nothing like last year so I think we will be good to go. Road America is a fast line track, but with the all the work the team has done on our DNA Energy Drink Ducati’s should be just the ticket for the weekend.”

“I’m ready for a good race,” says Michael Beck who joined Crozier Roberson Motorsports just prior to the last event at Infineon Raceway. This will be only the second time I have ever ridden a Ducati and it would be awesome to be able to finish on the podium. It is a great bike, but as with anything new, I need a little time to get comfortable. Road America requires good horsepower and torque and we have both so this could definitely be our weekend. The best scenario would be to have both Bobby (Fong) and me on the podium together. It doesn’t get much better than that.”

Also looking to land on the podium is SuperSport young gun Joey Pascarella who also signed with Crozier Roberson Motorsports just before the race at Infineon.

“This event won’t count for points as far as SuperSport West is concerned,” explains Pascarella, who holds the lead in the series by 45 points. But it is good for me, good for the team and good for DNA Energy Drink. The more you race, the better you get and I definitely want to be the best.

I didn’t ride at Road America last season due to injury, but I rode in 2008 in the Red Bull Rookies Cup and brought home a sixth place finish.”

Three determined and skilled riders, one of the most motivated crews in the industry, the expertise of team owners Robbie Roberson and Mark Crozier and DNA Energy Drink all add up to make this team a good bet to obtain their goal in the very near future.

Crozier Roberson Motorsports is sponsored by: DNA Energy Drink, Quality Brands, Inc., FMF, Arai Helmets, Race Tech, Motion Pro, Pit Bull, EBC Brakes, EK, Melillimoto Ducati, Moto-Heaven.com, XES, Thrust Company, HEL, Woodcraft, Armour Bodies, Puma, Held Gloves, GP Tech, Active, Zero Gravity and Christopher Bean Coffee.
