Born To Ride TV Stays … Same Night Same Time

March 9th, 2010 1 comment

Sunday 11 p.m. on MYTV Tampa Bay

Sorry for the mix up, but sometimes things happen beyond our control. We were moving the BTR TV show to an all new night and time slot Saturday 12 midnight on MYTV TAMPABAY 38. Everything was set— when the station informed us there was a mix up and someone already had the new time slot on Saturday night. We learned this on Friday after all the new promos and advertisements regarding the new changes were set. When all was said and done, we ended up keeping Sunday Night @ 11 p.m. The station did what was best and worked everything out as far as the change, and should all work out within the next few weeks. I’m sorry about this mix up but now we are back on every Sunday Night @ 11p.m. on MYTV TAMPABAY 38. Please tell everyone you can about our non change but back to our regular time slot. We will do everything we can to let everyone know about the last minute non change.

If you have comments, ideas, questions or have input on what you would like to see on Born To Ride TV please e-mail me rg@borntoride.com.

Thank you very much,

Ron Galletti

I Got My Eye on You. …

Just suppose your old buddies from the past want to get together at your house with some of your new friends; sounds like a good time in the making, right? And you being the organizer that you are- set out to throw one hell of a party. This means contacting your neighbors and the local authorities to make certain parking is squared away so all involved can coexist peacefully. Okay, so your buds start rolling in and the party is really starting to jump-off, but for some reason you feel there’s a disturbance in the force. Now, you being the inquisitive person that you are step outside your house to better understand this disturbance in the force. BANG … right across the street from your house is a Police Mobile Command Center and they are focusing their attention on you and your guests. Hey this doesn’t happen in America unless you’re doing something wrong, right? Well tell that to the Outlaws Motorcycle Club who had to deal with Daytona Beach Mobile Command Center during Bike Week 2010. Read the story in this link http://www.news-journalonline.com/news/local/east-volusia/2010/03/05/neighbors-pan-cops-outlaws-stakeout.html; check out the photos and then tell us what you think. Is it harassment, or are the police being proactive? Are taxpayer’s dollars being spent wisely because we all can tell a good book by its cover … right?

Willie does it again at Bike Week 2010— with his highly anticipated retro old school unbelievable chopper show. They come from all over the world to see this show, take pictures of this show, and be involved with this classic show. And it’s a total showstopper, bar none— the best show to see in Daytona. It’s a must see because this is the real deal people; only knuckle busting builders attend. You won’t find any trailers here at this one!

The guys are like unsung heroes of street rods from days gone by. This is as real as it gets. Just take the time to look at the artwork that goes into the bikes; the original ideas and concepts, the colors, paint, no paint, choppers, bobbers, a 70s look back, or even 60s look back. See a rebirth in chopper building like never before, but also riding them like never before. It’s so cool to catch them all riding out into the sunset— setting up photo ops for the hungry cameramen and camera women to snap up! These skilled builders come from different walks of life, but wherever it is they all seem to express faith in each other and feed off each others work.

Over the years … this is where we’ve met Sucker Punch Sally, NASH Brothers, Roadside Marty the MC, BackStreet Choppers, Kings of Hell, Bare Knuckle Choppers, Bling ‘s Cycles, even the ladies from Lollipops and so many other new and upcoming builders that helped this scene out over the years.

Willie does it like no other; it’s the show to see and the one to be at when in Daytona. Just watching the iconic legendary Michel Lector work his magic clicking away working with subjects and sunlight is nothing short of inspiring and thrilling. Willie said, “This is the biggest one yet and I want to thank everyone who made it happen again this year. Support our troops we had a great day God bless.” You just have to be there to really feel what it’s all about because it’s a Daytona tradition.
