S&S LogoS&S Cycle would like to congratulate Hector (“The Hammer”) Arana for a most impressive year at the NHRA.  Hector has driven his S&S powered motorcycle to five number one qualifying times, five final rounds, five NHRA Pro Stock wins and is sitting on top of the Pro Stock ladder race for the championship with 2420 points.  If that wasn’t remarkable enough, Arana set a new E.T. record of 6.851 on October 5th at the NHRA Memphis event.

Hector is an inspiration to all racers.  He is not the youngest rider on the circuit nor the lightest.  He’s a “one man show” who also functions as crew chief for the team.  He purchased the motorcycle in 2008 and won the first race of his career last season.  Through hard work, determination and skilled tuning and riding, Arana is competing against and beating the giants of the Pro Stock class.

“Hector Arana is what our pro stock program is all about,” said George Smith, S&S Cycle Chairman and CEO.  “We developed this engine and made it available at a good price so that anyone could compete at the NHRA.  Hector has proven that by winning rounds, races and perhaps even a championship.  He is a great guy and we are very proud of what he has accomplished this year.”

S&S Cycle has been in the business of manufacturing high quality, high performance engine race and street components for over 50 years. What started as a passion for speed, grew into the best known company name in the V-Twin high performance aftermarket.

S&S 3George Smith Sr. had to build his own parts to make his motorcycle faster. Now the company he founded manufactures the most prestigious line of “go fast” v-twin engine parts in the world.
