Joint Venture Between Klock Werks Kustom Cycles and Kiwi Indian Motorcycles

MITCHELL, SD – Kiwi Indian and Klock Werks Kustom Cycles have formed a joint venture to help move both companies forward.  Mike Tomas of Kiwi Indian has already moved his parts distribution from California to Mitchell, SD.  Said Mike, “Brian and I are close friends who share the same work ethic and long-term vision about the future of our respective businesses.” Kiwi’s service/repair work, restorations, manufacturing, and new bike building will remain in California for now.

Judge accepts Billy Lane’s no-contest plea

VIERA — A Brevard judge today accepted motorcycle builder Billy Lane’s plea of no contest to a single felony count of vehicular homicide.

 

He faces a cap of about nine years in prison when he is sentenced at 9 a.m. Aug. 14 by Circuit Judge Robert Burger. Prosecutors dropped a DUI manslaughter charge under the terms of the plea bargain.

H.O.G. SETS FIVE MIILION MONDAY GOAL

Members Will Band Together to Ride on June 29

 

MILWAUKEE – (June 16, 2009) On Monday, June 29, 2009, Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) members around the world will band together in a singular challenge, to log a cumulative five million riding miles by the day’s end.

 

Following the phenomenal success of last year’s inaugural Million Mile Monday, which tripled the original goal of one million miles ridden by H.O.G. members to 3,000,960 miles, the goal for this year’s ride on June 29 has been stretched to five million miles.

Krawiec Pads His NHRA Points Lead, Hines Moves Up to Second Place

JOLIET, Ill. (June 7, 2009) – Screamin’ Eagle®/Vance & Hines rider Eddie Krawiec added to his points lead in the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle division by racing a Harley-Davidson V-Rod® to the final round of eliminations at the United Association Route 66 NHRA Nationals in Joliet, Ill. Krawiec, the defending Pro Stock Motorcycle champion, lost to Rocklin Motorsports Buell rider Matt Guidera in the final round.

As her brother Eric wrapped her in a big bear hug, Tannis “Flo” Fuhr couldn’t hold back her tears.

Dressed all in pink — hot pink motorcycle boots, light pink leather chaps, a pink Harley-Davidson motorcycle vest and a hot-pink bandanna peppered with pink breast cancer ribbons — Fuhr welcomed the support as she stood in the entrance of Silverdale’s Legend Harley-Davidson.

New Playboy CEO talks strategy, not sale!

ScottFlandersPalyboy1.pngRumors of a $300 million sale of Playboy Enterprises Inc. (NYSE:PLA) took a backseat to the election of Scott Flanders as CEO of the ailing adult entertainment company. The appointment marks the end of an almost six-month search to replace former CEO Christie Hefner.

Competition, dwindling ad sales and penny-pinching would-be customers caused the famed Chicago-based magazine publisher to consider an outright sale in February. But the new CEO (pictured) had this to say in a Q&A with the Chicago Tribune when asked about a sale:
