There is certainly something to be said about the saying, “Find something you love to do and you’ll never work a day in your life.”
I am very excited to be writing about the motorcycle lifestyle. I am an avid motorcyclist, of course thanks to my husband who owns a HD 100th year anniversary Softtail Classic and an ’03 883R Sportster. We have been fortunate enough to ride on some of the great roads from coast to coast. The greatest thing about living in the state of Forida is you can ride 365 days of the year and my intention is to make it more enjoyable for you by sharing my own experience and those of other great motorcyclists who wish to share their stories.
Kerberos Tripel
Flying Dog Brewery, Frederick, Md. http://www.flyingdogales.com/
8.5 percent ABV
I recently had the pleasure of attending my first beer festival of the year, the Fox Cities Beer Festival held in Appleton.
Flying Dog really impressed with its Belgian-style Kerberos Tripel. Kerberos is the three-headed beast that guards the gates of Hades in Greek mythology (also known as Cerebrus), but there is nothing hellish about the beer.
Mr. Dunderbak’s owner J.B. Ellis closed his doors at the dying, sad University Mall on January 26th, leaving lovers of his Germanic bar food and extensive beer selection dry and hungry for the past two weeks. Thankfully, Tampa’s long beerless nightmare is almost over.
A motorcycle ride led by a well-known name famous for his years on four wheels is celebrating its fifteenth year as it leaves Stevenson, Washington on a 3,500 mile trek.
The Chick-fil-A Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America is setting out exactly 15 years since the inaugural Kyle Petty Charity Ride left Sacramento, Calif., on its first cross-country journey. The 15th anniversary Ride benefits Victory Junction and other children’s charities. Petty and his wife, Pattie, founded Victory Junction in Randleman, N.C., in 2004. The year-round camp serves children ages 6 to 16, with serious health issues, at no cost to their families. The Petty’s plans to open a second Victory Junction will come to fruition on May 13 when the Ride stops in Kansas City, Kan., to participate in a ceremonial groundbreaking celebration at the site of the new camp.
Video: Aprilia RSV4 ridden on the road
By James Keen – Bike tests -06 May 2009 14:12
The stunning new Aprilia RSV4 superbike is ridden on the road for the first time in a 415-mile trip from the Aprilia factory to Cannes and Monaco. Watch the video to see how it got on – is it as good on road as it is on track?
